Chino Hills State Park and Carbon Canyon Regional Park are immediately adjacent to Vista Del Verde. Chino Hills State Park is designed as a refuge of biodiversity, where animal and plant life are protected in a 14,102-acre open space habitat that stretches from the Santa Ana Mountains to the Whittier Hills. The 65 miles of trails are ideal for many recreational uses, like hiking, biking or equestrian, and the park offers camping and picnic facilities to experience more of the great outdoors. Carbon Canyon Regional Park features sporting opportunities on the park’s baseball fields, and tennis and volleyball courts. For those more inclined toward quiet reflection, the park’s 10-acre grove of majestic Coastal Redwoods may be the perfect getaway. Yorba Linda itself has 19 community and neighborhood parks - more than 130 acres of open space to enjoy. The city also boasts a number of recreational facilities, including Valley View Sports Park and Arroyo Park, offering everything from baseball and softball fields, to soccer and multi-purpose fields, batting cages and more. Yorba Linda even has its own Buena Vista Equestrian Center.
